Ferran Torres Reveals Secret Behind His Red-Hot PSG Form
Ferran Torres continued his spectacular start at Paris Saint-Germain by scoring a hat-trick in their emphatic 6-1 victory over Slovan Bratislava in the opening matchday of the Champions League on Thursday.
Playing at the Parc des Princes, PSG produced an attacking masterclass. Ousmane Dembele scored twice, Torres added three more, and Fabian Ruiz completed the rout with a late goal. Slovan Bratislava managed only a consolation through Sulaeman Camara in the 59th minute.

It was the first hat-trick of Torres’ Champions League career, despite the forward already having made 50 appearances in the competition. Those appearances have come across three previous clubs: nine for Valencia, seven for Manchester City and 34 for Barcelona.
Torres’ explosive beginning with PSG has already sparked questions about the club’s prospects in the Champions League. The reigning European champions sent out an early statement with their commanding victory, while Barcelona also made their intentions clear by defeating Feyenoord 5-1 in their opening fixture. Torres believes his former club should be considered among the serious contenders for the trophy.
“Barcelona are one of the big teams capable of winning the title. Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are as well. We are too. It is a very big competition,” he added.
The comments underline the confidence surrounding Torres since his move to Paris. At Barcelona, the forward often found himself competing for minutes among a crowded attacking group. At PSG, he appears to have found both a prominent role and the freedom to express himself in the final third.
Four matches into his PSG career, the early signs are certainly encouraging.
