Erick Thohir Opens Door for Visiting Supporters at FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026

PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir has confirmed that Indonesia is ready to welcome supporters from across Southeast Asia for the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026. Erick stressed that the presence of visiting fans is highly anticipated throughout the tournament.

As hosts, Indonesia is committed to providing the best possible facilities and services for football fans traveling to the country to support their respective teams. Their presence is expected not only to enhance the atmosphere inside the stadiums but also to contribute to the local economy.

Erick Thohir emphasized the important role of supporters in creating an exciting and competitive matchday atmosphere. As a result, PSSI will make every effort to accommodate ticket demands and ensure the comfort of visiting supporters.

“As far as I know, every country will have a large number of supporters. But I don’t know exactly how many,” Erick told reporters.

Drawing on the successful experience of hosting the AFF Championship in previous editions, Erick believes Indonesia’s track record of accommodating international supporters provides valuable experience as the country prepares to host an even bigger tournament this year.

“The last time Indonesia played Vietnam in Bogor, there were a lot of Vietnamese supporters,” he added.
