Mo Salah Matches Cristiano Ronaldo Record With Hat-Trick Against Galatasaray
Mohamed Salah produced a remarkable individual display by scoring a hat-trick against Galatasaray, matching a record previously achieved by Cristiano Ronaldo against the Istanbul giants.
Salah was instrumental in Trabzonspor’s emphatic 4-0 victory over Galatasaray just before the international break. The Egyptian forward scored three of his side’s goals, turning the result into an even more memorable occasion for the visitors.
According to beIN Sports, Salah’s treble placed him alongside Ronaldo among the players to have scored three goals in a single match against Galatasaray. The Portuguese superstar previously achieved the feat with Real Madrid in the Champions League in 2013.
Several other notable players have also found the net against the Turkish club, including Emmanuel Adebayor, Rodrygo Goes, Danny Welbeck and Eran Zahavi. However, Salah and Adebayor are among the players to have completed the feat in the Turkish Super Lig.
