Persib Coach Igor Tolic Has Port FC Scouting Report Ready

Persib Bandung head coach Igor Tolic says his side have thoroughly analysed Port FC ahead of their ASEAN Club Championship 2026 clash in Thailand.

The Indonesian champions have studied footage of Port FC’s recent matches, allowing Tolic and his coaching staff to identify several key strengths in the Thai side.

Tolic highlighted Port FC’s strong squad depth, particularly the number of players with experience representing the Thailand national team. He also warned his players about their opponents’ pace in transition and their threat from set pieces.

“Port are a good team. They also have a lot of national team players. They are a team with very quick transitions and are very good at set pieces,” Tolic told reporters.

The Croatian coach has subsequently prepared his squad through a series of attacking and defensive drills designed to counter Port FC’s strengths.

“We have worked on some attacking and defensive training to prepare for this new competition. It is very important to understand how they start the competition,” Tolic explained.

Tolic was also asked about Persib’s team chemistry, which had come under scrutiny following their defeat to Persija. The coach believes the squad have made significant progress in that area as they have spent more time together.

“I think it is improving. We are spending a lot of time together, talking and working on our combinations. We should be able to see more of that on the pitch,” he added.

The Persib coach was also pleased with the motivation shown by his players ahead of their trip to Thailand. He hopes that enthusiasm can help the team return home with a positive result.

“We are preparing as well as possible, and then we will go there hoping to represent the club well and achieve a good result,” Tolic concluded.
