Persija Ends Thailand Training Camp with Victory
Persija Jakarta ended their training camp (TC) in Thailand on a high note. The Jakarta Tigers secured a victory in a friendly match against Chiangrai United.
The friendly match between Persija and Chiangrai United took place at the Alpine Football Camp Training Center in Bangkok on Saturday (Aug 22). The team managed to win with a 2-1 scoreline.
Persija’s two goals were scored by Arlyansyah Abdulmanan and Rizky Ridho. Their opponents are contestants in Thai League 1.
The match was held behind closed doors, so the starting lineup was not disclosed. However, based on social media posts, Nadeo Argawinata and Hafizh Rizkianur appeared to take turns guarding Persija’s goal. Meanwhile, players such as Witan Sulaeman, Fabio Calonego, Denis Kolinger, Radovan Pankov, Dony Tri Pamungkas, and Rayhan Hannan also participated.
“The team’s performance was very good. The passing timing and match tempo were almost entirely satisfying,” said the team’s representative.
The friendly match against Chiangrai United concluded Persija’s TC routine in Thailand. The capital squad is scheduled to return home on Sunday (Aug 23).
Persija still has one more friendly match scheduled before competing in the upcoming league season. Rizky Ridho and his teammates will challenge Brisbane Roar at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) on August 29.
