Persib coach Igor Tolic acknowledged that his team does not have much time to prepare for their upcoming match against Dewa United. However, Igor Tolic remains unconcerned as Persib holds valuable momentum ahead of hosting Dewa United.

The match between Persib and Dewa United will take place at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium on Sunday, October 11, 2026. This match, part of the continuing 4th week of the 2026/27 BRI Super League, will also be broadcast live starting at 7:00 PM WIB.

Igor Tolic revealed that Persib only has a single day of preparation to face Dewa United. This is because Persib only arrived back in Bandung on Friday night, October 9, 2026, and was only able to hold a training session on Saturday afternoon, October 10, 2026.

During that training session, the Croatian coach packed the program more densely to ensure all instructions were delivered. Although everything had to be done in a short amount of time, Igor Tolic stated he is not worried because his players’ mentality is already prepared for the upcoming match.

“A single training session, for recovery, for meetings, and tomorrow is the match. So this is the schedule, we have to respect it, and as we will be playing at home, we will prepare ourselves as best as possible and try to get the best result tomorrow night,” Igor stated.

Facing Dewa United, who currently sits in the upper tier of the temporary standings, Igor Tolic believes this condition is inseparable from the arrival of Osmar Loss as their new head coach. This is further complemented by Dewa United’s success in maximizing the transfer window.

“A new coach (Osmar Loss), their playing style is slightly different from last year. More clear, more vertical, more efficient, they also changed several players. I think overall they are a good team,” the 49-year-old coach added.

Although Dewa United is showing promising progress at the start of this season, Igor Tolic claimed he is not dazzled. This is because Persib is already accustomed to facing tougher challenges at the Asian level. He hopes the challenge in the domestic competition this time can be overcome to secure victory.

“So far they have shown the most prominent play of all teams, so I think this will be a challenge for us to, to win tomorrow night,” he concluded.
