Thailand national team head coach Anthony Hudson has confirmed that his squad is fully prepared to handle the pressure from the stands when they face Indonesia in the 2026 FIFA ASEAN Cup Final. Hudson believes the Thai team is determined to prove their quality in front of the Indonesian football public.

The 2026 FIFA ASEAN Cup Final between Indonesia and Thailand is scheduled to take place at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium on Monday, October 5, 2026. Host nation Indonesia is set to receive massive backing from tens of thousands of supporters ready to pack the stadium for the high-stakes clash.

In Hudson’s view, playing before a crowd of tens of thousands is a dream for many footballers. As such, the presence of home supporters presents no issue for Thailand; instead, it serves as added motivation to deliver an even better performance.

“I actually feel this is better. Personally, along with all the players, we can’t wait to play in Jakarta, in that stadium, in front of such a massive crowd. I’m confident that this environment will bring out the very best in our team,” Anthony explained.

Hudson expressed delight at his squad’s response, noting that his players appear even more energized ahead of the showdown. Naturally, maintaining this momentum will be crucial to securing a favorable result at the final whistle.

“I’ve spoken with many of the players, and they are thrilled to be part of this match. As coaches and players, these are the exact games you live for—playing in front of a full stadium, absorbing a electric atmosphere, and competing in a final,” he concluded.
