Witan Sulaeman Gets a Tattoo, Rizky Ridho Jokes: “It’ll Be Gone in Two Weeks!”
Persija Jakarta captain Rizky Ridho has reacted to the new tattoo sported by his teammate, Witan Sulaeman.
Witan showed off his new look ahead of Persija’s training camp in Thailand. In his latest Instagram post on Wednesday (12/8), the 25-year-old appeared with tattoos on both his right and left arms.
Witan himself did not explain the meaning or details behind the tattoos. Instead, captain Rizky Ridho was the one to provide a clue.
Ridho commented on Witan’s Instagram post, joking about the new look while revealing that the tattoos were temporary and would disappear within two weeks.
“Just look at the tiger tattoo, imagine how strong his heart is,” Ridho wrote in Witan’s comment section.
“It’s fine. Witan’s tattoos are the kind that allow him to pray. They’ll be gone in two weeks,” Ridho replied to a netizen who questioned whether the tattoos were real.
Witan has struggled for consistency with Persija over the past few seasons, with his performances declining at times. Despite that, the Indonesia international has continued to push himself.
The arrival of former Indonesia national team coach Shin Tae-yong at Persija could provide Witan with an opportunity to rediscover his best form. The South Korean manager is expected to play a key role in helping the winger regain the level he previously showed.
Signs of improvement were already visible during the President’s Cup, where Witan contributed one goal and three assists.
“I’m very proud of this team. We have only been together for a short time and the squad is not yet complete. Going forward, we will have the full squad and can focus on the Super League,” Witan said after the tournament.
