After Winning 2026 President’s Cup, Ramadhan Sananta Says Persebaya Are Growing Stronger
Persebaya Surabaya are increasingly ready for the 2026/27 season. Striker Ramadhan Sananta believes the team has grown more solid after winning the 2026 President’s Cup.
Persebaya lifted the President’s Cup after defeating Persib Bandung in the final. The success gives the Green Force a major boost as they prepare to challenge for the 2026/27 Super League title.
Sananta, who scored one of Persebaya’s goals against Persib, feels the team has become increasingly cohesive despite undergoing major changes to last season’s squad.
“If we put it in percentage terms, we are probably almost at 100 per cent. There are just a few small things that we still need to build, especially our chemistry and togetherness,” Sananta said.
“I came in as a new player, as did several others. So we have to keep building our chemistry, especially through matches.”
Sananta is one of Persebaya’s new signings ahead of the 2026/27 campaign. The Indonesia international striker is expected to become one of the team’s main sources of goals.
Despite being a new addition to the squad, Sananta is already familiar with the playing style of head coach Bernardo Tavares. The pair previously worked together at PSM Makassar.
Persebaya’s next assignment will see them host Penang FC this weekend. Sananta is ready to lead the attack once again and cause problems for the visitors’ defence.
“We are certainly ready for the match on August 15. As players, we want to give our best and deliver our maximum performance in the game,” he concluded.
