Good news comes from Indonesia national team captain Jay Idzes, who has completed his injury rehabilitation program in Amsterdam. Idzes is reported to be ready to return to Sassuolo next week and is in line to reinforce Indonesia for the upcoming FIFA Matchday window.

According to an official Instagram post by @fysiomed.amsterdam, Idzes’ fitness levels look highly promising. The post noted that the Dutch-descent center-back will be rejoin I Neroverdi in the very near future.

“Over the past few weeks, Jay Idzes has been working hard on his rehabilitation at Fysiomed Amsterdam. This week, he will rejoin his club, Sassuolo,” read the caption.

Idzes previously suffered a muscle injury last month after featuring against Juventus at the Mapei Stadium. Although he played only 81 minutes in that match, Sassuolo managed to secure a 3-2 victory.

During his absence, Sassuolo struggled in domestic competition, failing to win in three consecutive matches—suffering a 2-1 defeat against Monza, drawing 1-1 with AC Milan, and falling 4-2 to Frosinone.

Idzes also missed the Indonesia national team’s campaign in the 2026 FIFA ASEAN Cup. However, even without the 26-year-old defender, Garuda made history by clinching the tournament title.

With Indonesia aiming to break into the top 100 of the FIFA World Rankings, Idzes’ recovery serves as a major boost ahead of next month’s FIFA Matchday schedule, which includes a planned tour of West Asia.
