The news regarding the health condition of Persik player Ezra Walian following his surgery has drawn significant attention from Persib. The forward, who once donned the Persib jersey, received special care and sympathy from his former teammates.

Despite currently playing for different clubs, the strong bond and mutual respect among the players remain intact. This care and support were expressed ahead of the upcoming match between the two sides at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium on Sunday, October 18, 2026.

Persib coach Igor Tolic shared his thoughts regarding Ezra Walian’s condition. Given the medical procedure Ezra recently underwent, Igor believes it is unlikely that the player will be able to return to action anytime soon.

Nevertheless, the Persib coaching staff remains hopeful that his rehabilitation process goes smoothly. Igor Tolic also offered his best prayers for Ezra to overcome this challenging period quickly.

“I don’t know, I think he won’t play. Well, we wish him a speedy recovery and hope he can get back on the pitch as soon as possible,” said Igor Tolic to the media.

Echoing similar sentiments, Persib team captain Marc Klok emphasized how devastating a serious injury and subsequent surgery can be for a professional footballer.

The former Persija player affirmed that moral support from fellow players continues to pour in for Ezra. He and the entire Pangeran Biru squad sincerely pray that Ezra’s recovery proceeds smoothly without any complications.

“Yes, it is always a major setback for a player to suffer an injury like this. We never wish this upon anyone, whether as a friend or a former teammate. So, we wish him all the best in his recovery, so he can return as quickly and as healthy as possible—that is definitely the most important thing,” Klok concluded.
