Persib Squad Changes Every Match, Midfielder Talks About Commitment
Persib Bandung midfielder Dedi Kusnandar has commented on the frequent changes to the team’s player composition in every match. Dedi Kusnandar stated that this situation is completely natural because Persib needs to perform optimally in all competitions they participate in.
Dedi views the changing player composition in every match as one of the ways for Persib to maintain stability. This is because Persib is facing a heavy schedule this season, requiring the team to field fit players in every game.
Furthermore, this player rotation is not only about providing equal playing opportunities, but it also reflects Persib’s commitment to maintaining its championship tradition. Especially in the AFC Champions League Two, Persib aims to surpass its achievement from last season’s campaign.
“Yes, we already know our schedule is roughly every three days, but we are well aware of that risk. As I said earlier, we have 27 players ready to play; whoever is chosen must be ready,” opened the player wearing the number 11 jersey.
The player affectionately known as Dado added that this varying player composition also makes internal competition within the team healthier. Especially with the tight schedule this season, every player’s opportunity to play is wider open.
“Even though we know the formations change every match, as players we must be ready to handle this packed schedule. Moreover, as mentioned before, every opponent plays hard against Persib like a war, and we must be ready to face anyone,” he added.
Changes to the player composition for the upcoming match against Garudayaksa FC are also wide open, according to Dado. He stated that all Persib players are ready to be deployed and are determined to secure a victory to improve their position in the standings.
“Our preparation just reached Bandung. So today we have a training session, and immediately afterward we head to Bogor. But even so, there are no excuses for tomorrow; we must achieve maximum results against Garudayaksa. So yes, tomorrow our target is to get the maximum result,” he concluded.
