PSIM vs Persija: Macan Kemayoran Target Fourth Straight Win Against Laskar Mataram
Persija Jakarta are aiming to secure their fourth consecutive victory when they travel to face PSIM Jogja in Matchweek 4 of the 2026/27 Super League.
PSIM Jogja will host Persija Jakarta at Sultan Agung Stadium in Bantul on Saturday (October 10), with kick-off scheduled for Saturday afternoon Western Indonesia Time (WIB). Shin Tae-yong’s side will be looking to extend their perfect start to the season after winning their first three matches.
Persija are currently the only team to have won all three of their opening fixtures. They sit third in the provisional standings with nine points, one point behind Dewa United, who have played an additional match.
Persija will be confident of securing another victory. Last season, PSIM failed to beat the capital club in their two meetings, recording one draw and one defeat. Their previous encounter at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) in Jakarta also ended without a win for Laskar Mataram.
Meanwhile, PSIM are still searching for their first victory in the Super League. Jean-Paul van Gastel’s side have collected just one point from their opening three matches.
However, Shin Tae-yong does not expect an easy contest. The South Korean coach has urged Rizky Ridho and his teammates to remain alert and avoid underestimating Laskar Mataram.
“Looking at the football they have played, they have quite good quality. Therefore, we must not let our guard down,” Shin Tae-yong told reporters during Persija’s training session on Wednesday afternoon (October 8) WIB.
