Beckham Putra Reveals Physical Condition of Persib Squad Ahead of Match Against Persijap
Persib midfielder Beckham Putra Nugraha revealed his team’s current condition amidst a tight match schedule. After playing two consecutive away matches, Persib must now prepare for another away fixture against Persijap.
The match against Persijap will be broadcast live from Gelora Bumi Kartini Stadium on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 19:00 WIB. This marks Persib’s third consecutive away match, following a loss at Persija’s home ground and a victory at FC Seoul’s stadium.
Despite facing a physically demanding schedule, Beckham Putra stated that the Persib squad’s condition remains well-maintained. He also noted that all players appear highly focused on managing their rest, particularly during travel.
“Thank God, I think the condition is good, as I see the players handling the travel well,” Beckham said.
The long journeys the players had to undertake in recent matches posed a unique challenge to the squad’s fitness. The previous two away games featured intense battles against strong teams, consuming a lot of energy.
“We knew our previous opponents were tough—Persija and Seoul. Especially for Seoul, we had a pretty long journey, and heading straight to Semarang now is certainly not easy either,” Beckham said.
Given the very brief recovery time, Beckham hopes all players can restore their fitness levels before taking the pitch again. Moreover, the upcoming match against Persijap is crucial to staying competitive at the top of the standings.
