FC Seoul vs Persib Bandung Preview: Indonesian Giant Begin Asian Campaign in South Korea
Persib Bandung will begin their Asian campaign this week when they face FC Seoul in the opening matchday of Group E in the 2026/27 AFC Champions League Two on Wednesday, September 16.
The match will be played at Seoul World Cup Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 5:00 p.m. WIB. Both teams enter the encounter with very different circumstances, although the clash promises to be a demanding test for the Indonesian champions.
FC Seoul arrive in strong domestic form and currently sit at the top of the K League 1 standings with a comfortable points advantage over their closest challengers.
However, domestic competition remains the priority for head coach Kim Gi-dong. With the Korean league campaign still ongoing, Kim has indicated that he could rotate his squad against Persib in order to protect the fitness of his key players.
