Juventus Agree Fabio Miretti Loan Move to Besiktas
Juventus and Besiktas have reportedly reached an agreement over the transfer of Fabio Miretti, with the Italian midfielder set to follow Dusan Vlahovic to Istanbul after the Serbia international completed his move to the Turkish club earlier this summer.
Besiktas head coach Vincenzo Italiano has been increasingly focused on the Italian market as he looks to strengthen his squad. After bringing in Vlahovic, the Black Eagles are now close to adding Miretti on a season-long loan.
The 23-year-old is expected to spend the next campaign in Turkey, with the agreement reportedly including an obligation for Besiktas to make the move permanent.
The deal would indicate that Miretti is no longer part of Luciano Spalletti’s plans at Juventus for the 2026/27 season. Besiktas are expected to pay a loan fee before completing a permanent transfer worth €10 million, taking the total value of the agreement for Juventus to around €15 million.
Miretti previously enjoyed a productive loan spell at Genoa two seasons ago. He impressed during his time with the Rossoblu, but struggled to reproduce that form after returning to Turin.
Last season, the midfielder made 23 appearances for Juventus, with most of his outings coming from the substitutes’ bench. He managed just one goal and one assist, further limiting his prospects of securing a regular role under Spalletti.
A move to Besiktas could therefore provide Miretti with the playing time he needs to rebuild his momentum and establish himself as a more influential midfielder.
For Juventus, meanwhile, the transfer would also help create additional room within their wage structure. The Bianconeri are still looking to strengthen their midfield before the transfer window closes, with Franck Kessie reportedly among the players being considered.
Kessie is currently a free agent and could be brought in to provide further experience and physicality alongside Teun Koopmeiners.
Miretti’s departure would thus serve a dual purpose for Juventus: generating a significant transfer return while freeing up space for further additions. For the Italian midfielder, the move to Istanbul could represent an important opportunity to relaunch his career away from the growing competition at the Allianz Stadium.
