Persib Switch Pre-Season Training Camp from Thailand to Bali
Persib Bandung have changed the destination of their pre-season training camp ahead of the new campaign. The Indonesian champions were initially set to travel to Thailand, but the club has now confirmed that the squad will instead hold its training camp in Bali.
The decision was confirmed by PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat Deputy CEO Adhitia Putra Herawan, who explained that the change was made following adjustments to the pre-season schedule, including changes to the Piala Presiden tournament.
“Due to several factors, including changes to the Piala Presiden schedule, we had to rearrange our plans. As of now, it’s most likely that our training camp will be held in Bali,” Adhitia told reporters.
Despite the change in venue, Persib insist the quality of the preparations will remain unchanged. The coaching staff have already mapped out a comprehensive program to ensure the players reach peak physical condition and tactical readiness before the season begins.
“We’re still finalising the schedule. We’re discussing whether the team will head straight to the training camp after the final or return home first. But the plan is for the camp to take place in Bali,” he added.
The training camp is expected to last between nine and eleven days. During their stay, Persib are scheduled to play three friendly matches, with all fixtures expected to be broadcast live on television.
“We’ve lined up three opponents for friendly matches in Bali, and God willing, they’ll all be televised. The camp will last around nine to eleven days,” Adhitia said.
While he declined to reveal the identities of the opponents, Adhitia hinted that Persib will face a diverse mix of teams, including clubs from overseas.
“It’s going to be a mix. There will be international teams as well. Just wait for the surprise,” he concluded.
