PSM Makassar head coach, Darije Kalezic, has finally set the record straight regarding rumors linking goalkeeper Ardiansyah with a move to Persib Bandung. Kalezic emphasized that the reports are untrue, confirming that the player will remain with the PSM squad.

Rumors surrounding Ardiansyah’s potential exit surfaced just days before the crucial match between the two teams. His impressive form during a loan spell at Persijap last season reportedly caught Persib’s interest in securing his services.

Addressing the interest, Kalezic viewed it as an appreciation of his player’s quality. He noted that being linked with a top club like Persib is a testament to the success of PSM’s defensive development.

“Thank you for the appreciation shown to our goalkeepers. I am very satisfied with the performances they have delivered so far,” Kalezic stated.

The Bosnian coach added that PSM’s current goalkeeping setup is ideal. He intentionally blended senior and young goalkeepers to build squad depth and foster healthy competition for the starting spot.

“We have a range of goalkeepers across different age groups—both experienced and young. This combination provides stability for the club, aligning with the short-term and long-term goals we are building,” he explained.

Kalezic also highlighted the positive atmosphere within the squad. All goalkeepers are highly motivated to compete for the starting lineup, leaving neither the management nor the coaching staff with any reason to let them go.

“We have no intention of releasing them. These players have a bright future with PSM. Everyone will get a fair opportunity and playing time to keep developing, especially Ian,” he added.

Kalezic reiterated that all his goalkeepers are fully committed to wearing the Juku Eja jersey, making the likelihood of Ardiansyah moving to Maung Bandung virtually non-existent.

“I know nothing about any reports claiming a goalkeeper is leaving the club. So, as far as I’m concerned, it’s just a rumor. They will stay with PSM,” Darije Kalezic concluded.
